John P. Browner lived in Greenwich Village during the 70's. An habitué of the downtown clubs that spawned the Punk/New Wave music scene, he wrote Death of a Punk in 1977‐78. It was originally published by Pocket Books in 1980. Currently, he lives with his wife, the writer Lisa Yarger, and his daughter, Greta, in Munich, Germany, where he owns and operates The Munich Readery, an English secondhand bookshop.
